The APNCC exam scholarship was established in 2016 to provide scholarship opportunities to qualified activity professionals who are preparing for the board certification awarded by APNCC. The scholarship is for $100, to be used solely toward the expense of the APNCC exam. APNCC recognizes the strength of activity professionals in the industry and has seen the financial reductions of employer support for continuing education and certification expenses. No matter the level of care you provide activity services to, if you are ready to take the APNCC exam, take the time to apply for our scholarship.

Renewal Application

Renewal for all certifications is every 2 years and will require CE credit hours per the APN Credentialing Center Standards

Continuing Education Requirements

AP-BC = 20 CE hours

All renewals shall be every 2 years and will require a minimum of 12 hours of CE credit from a face to face experience per the APN Credentialing Center standards

AAP-BC = 30 CE hours

All renewals shall be every 2 years and will require a minimum of 12 hours of CE credit from a face to face experience per the APN Credentialing Center standards

AC-BC = 40 CE hours

All renewals shall be every 2 years and will require a minimum of 12 hours of CE credit from a face to face experience per the APN Credentialing Center standards

Continuing education needs to be specific to the Activity Professional. We do not accept .25 CE credits

Acceptable forms of CE credit. 12 hours of CE credits must come from live workshops, live chats, conferences, in-services, etc. Non-traditional forms of continuing education may complete the rest of the required credits. Non-traditional would include online training such as Activity Connection, Relias, LinkedSenior, webinars, home study courses, etc. Don’t forget some facility training and in-services may be accepted. Any incomplete forms will be “on hold” until all information is received in the office

Please, fill out the renewal form completely on-line, print and mail along with the required CE certificates to the office

Each renewal requires 12 CE credits hours from a face to face experience such as a seminar, workshop or conference. We require certificates of attendance for all continuing education listed

If your certificate of attendance is from a conference you do not need to list each session, just list the conference i.e., AZHCA 2020. We do not need handouts, the brochure, a copy of all your other credentials

Be sure credit card information is correct OR you can submit payment online

Please send documents via regular mail to the address on the form

Any incomplete forms will be “on hold” until all information is received in the office

All documentation submitted under any category is subject to random verification by the Credentialing Center

Please see the individual “Pathway” for education requirements, send a copy of the appropriate documentation with your application
